Looking for a new wine to try this weekend? I recommend Dolcetto.
A red wine from Piedmont, Dolcetto is generally bright and vibrant with succulent red fruit and rustic, earthy charm. An everyday wine, it is best drunk young and fresh. In my opinion, Dolcetto is the best wine to drink with pizza. It also pairs well with simple foods such as charcuterie, sausage, and roast chicken.
While not much Dolcetto is produced outside of Italy, you can find some great examples from California.
